FANTASY FOOTBALL-THURSDAY-WEEKEND EARLY BIRD ADVICE

The Pittsburgh-Cincinnati Thursday matchup tonight has its good points and bad points when it comes to fantasy football performance.
The good points fall mostly with the Steelers against a Bengals defense that is extremely weak. Running back Willie Parker and receiver Hines Ward should be the top point producers and the focus of the Steelers' offense. Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger is still bothered a bit by a shoulder injury but should be able to get some decent yardage through the air with Ward. Receiver Santonio Holmes and tight end Matt Spaeth will be third and fourth options throughout the night, play them at your own risk. The Steelers' defense is another must play.
For the Bengals, the only player you can start with a bit of confidence is receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson has been deactivated for tonight so the bulk of the offense will be generated by Houshmandzadeh. Back Cedric Benson should only be used if you are absolutely desperate going up against the tough run "D" of the Steelers.

If you have New Orleans back Reggie Bush on your roster, monitor his practices on Friday and Saturday. Earlier this week is was reported Bush would miss Week 12 but there is a decent chance he will play. Lord only knows how bad the Saints need him if they want to have a shot for a playoff berth.

Also, if you are looking for quarterback help see if Jeff Garcia is available on your waiver wire. He is playing against the Detroit Lions who he always love to torch.

By the way, yours truly will be hosting another Northeast Fantasy Football Radio Show tonight (Nov. 20) from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on WICC-600. Get all the latest news and some valuable advice for this weekend's games.
