Fantasy football: Recapping Week 10

While parity seems to be the buzzword in the NFL this season with everyone beating up on everyone, the one constant has been some memorable (fantasy football) individual performances from week to week.

In Week 10 you look no further than the quarterback position with the return of Michael Vick and his one-man dismantling of the Washington Redskins. Vick did it through the air and on the ground and never let up on the throttle. Depending on the scoring format used in your league, Vick had anywhere from 48 to 70 points and vaulted many fantasy football teams to victory.
Vick ended up with 333 yards passing, four passing touchdowns, 80 yards rushing and two rushing touchdowns.
QB Matt Cassel wasn't too shabby either for Kansas City with 469 yards and four touchdowns. Other top quarterback performances included Ben Rothlisberger (Pittsburgh) 387 yards, 3 touchdowns; Eli Manning (Giants) 373 yards,2 touchdowns; Troy Smith (San Francisco) 356 yards, 1 touchdown; Tom Brady (New England) 350 yards, 3 touchdowns; and David Garrard (Jacksonville) 342 yards, 2 touchdowns.

When it came to running backs Buffalo's Fred Jackson had his best day as an NFL player with 133 yards rushing and a touchdown. Chris Johnson (Tennessee) rebounded with a solid performance of 117 yards and a touchdown and Jerome Harrison (Philadelphia) stepped up with 109 yards and a touchdown. Others with solid performances were Knowshon Moreno (Denver) 106 yards; Mike Goodson (Carolina) 100 yards; Maurice Jones-Drew (Jacksonville) 100 yards, two touchdowns; and LeGarrette Blount (Tampa Bay) 91 yards, one touchdown.

One of the hottest receivers in the NFL stayed on fire as Dwayne Bowe (Kansas City) had a career day with 13 receptions, 186 yards and two touchdowns. Others with outstanding production were Mike Thomas (Jacksonville) eight receptions, 149 yards, one touchdown; Andre Johnson (Houston) nine receptions, 146 yards, one touchdown; Mike Williams (Seattle) 11 receptions, 145 yards; Roddy White (Atlanta) 12 receptions, 138 yards, two touchdowns; and Mike Wallace (Pittsburgh) eight receptions, 136 yards, two touchdowns.

Tight ends also had their day in the sun led by Anthony Fasano (Miami) with five receptions, 107 yards and a touchdown and Jermaine Gresham (Cincinnati) who had nine receptions, 85 yards and a touchdown. Kevin Boss (Giants) woke up with five receptions, 81 yards and a touchdown; Delanie Walker (San Francisco) had four receptions and 80 yards; Vernon Davis (San Francisco) had four receptions, 79 yards; and Zach Miller (Jacksonville) added four receptions, 79 yards and a touchdown.
