It was kind of a wild Week 5 on Sunday in the NFL with some surprising top-five performances.
If you have San Francisco quarterback Alex Smith on your roster you're probably asking yourself where the heck did that performance come from - 309 yards passing and three touchdowns. Wow.
Other top quarterback performances were Philip Rivers (San Diego)431 yards, 2 touchdowns; Tony Romo (Dallas) 406 yards, 3 touchdowns; Donovan McNabb (Washington) 357 yards, 1 touchdown; and Kyle Orton (Denver) 314 yards, 2 touchdowns.

When it comes to running backs, Cincinnati's Cedric Benson woke up with performance that reminded you of his 2009 success - 144 yards. Chicago's Matt Forte also finally went over 100 yards rushing with 166 and two touchdowns
Other top backs were Michael Turner (Atlanta) 140 yards; Ray Rice (Baltimore) 133 yards, 2 touchdowns; and Chris Johnson (Tennessee) 131 yards, 2 touchdowns

McNabb's success at QB resulted in a succesful day for Washington receiver Santana Moss who ended up with 118 yards. The Giants' Hakeem Nicks, who killed me in two leagues, had 13 yards and two touchdowns.Other top receivers were Malcolm Floyd (San Diego) 213 yards, 1 touchdown; Miles Austin (Dallas) 166 yards, 1 touchdown; and Brandon Lloyd (Denver) 135 yards, 2 touchdowns.


Vernon Davis had a huge day at tight end with 104 yards and one touchdown. Other top tight ends were Antonio Gates (San Diego) 92 yards, 1 touchdown; Jason Witten (Dallas) 84 yards 1 touchdown; Kellen Winslow (Tampa Bay) 75 yards; and Chris Cooley (Washington) 69 yards
