Injuries continue to be a problem in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers hit the hardest lately. QB Aaron Rodgers suffered a concussion in Week 5 and is likely out for Week 6. Tight end Jermichael Finley is in worse shape after suffering a knee injury. He needed surgery and is out at least eight weeks, possibly the rest of the season.
San Diego back Ryan Mathews has an ankle injury and missed practice on Wednesday. Monitor his situation.
New Orleans back Pierre Thomas continues to be in pain with an ankle injury and hasn't practiced. Don't hold your breath if you need him this weekend.
Oakland back Darren McFadden (hamstring) and Houston receiver Andre Johnson (ankle) have been improving and practicing on a limited basis. Both are expected to return in Week 6 but their effectiveness will be in question.
