Fantasy football: Week 13 performances that stood out

As most fantasy football leagues enter their playoffs, top performances from Week 13 should be noted because they will likely continue in Week 14.
While most NFL experts are on the "bashing Peyton Manning" bandwagon, from a fantasy persepective he's still a potent producer despite the bevy of interceptions in recent weeks. Sure, he had four interceptions in Week 13 but he was the top-producing fantasy QB with 365 yards and two touchdowns. The usual guys who rise to the top in December had lofty performances including Matt Schaub (337 yards, 2 touchdowns), Tom Brady ( 326 yards, 4 touchdowns) and Drew Brees (313 yards, 2 touchdowns). And oh yeah, there's Michael Vick (302 yards, 2 touchdowns).

Look who's been the hot running back the past four weeks. After struggling early this season Maurice Jones-Drew has been on a roll, although we would like to see more TDs from this guy. Jones-Drew had 186 yards rushing last week. Other hot backs from last week were Knowshon Moreno (161 yards), Chris Ivory (117 yards, 2 touchdowns), Jamaal Charles (116 yards) and Adrian Peterson (107 yards, 3 touchdowns). The one guy to shy away from this week is Ivory with Pierre Thomas expected back on the field for New Orleans.

When it comes to receivers, Reggie Wayne has been the go-to guy for Peyton Manning in recent weeks with the Austin Collie out with an injury. Wayne had an awesome Week 13 with 14 receptions, 200 yards and a touchdown. Other top performances included Andre Johnson (6 receptions, 149 yards), Vernon Davis (4 receptions, 126 yards, 1 touchdown), Greg Jennings (6 receptions, 122 yards, 2 touchdowns) and Anquan Boldin (5 receptions, 118 yards, 1 touchdown).

When it comesto tight ends, one guy who is still on a lot of waiver wires and who keeps producing is Ben Watson. He only had 10 receptions, 100 yards and a touchdown in Weeki 13 and that production should continue. Other top Week 13 tight end performances, from guys getting hot (or staying hot) in time for the playoffs, included Antonio Gates (6 receptions, 73 yards, 1 touchdown), Jimmy Graham (3 receptions, 72 yards), Cameron Morrah (3 receptions, 69 yards) and Joel Dreessen, 5 receptions, 63 yards.
