Hot pick-ups for fantasy baseball; Norwich's Davis cooking like Betty Crocker

It's amazing how some players fall under the radar in fantasy leagues and the following four guys should be hot waiver-wire pickups in most 12-team baseball leagues with the season winding down.

In the outfield, solid hitting Josh Hamilton of the Arizona Diamondbacks was activated from the DL on Saturday and the power hitter looked real good on Tuesday, going 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI. He has 14 homers this season and there is the potential for 20-30 overall.
Another hot outfielder is someone I touted in my last blog and he's from Norwich - Rajai Davis of the San Francisco Giants. As long as he's hot he'll see playing time. In his last seven games he has 24 at bats, 11 hits, seven runs scored, an RBI and six stolen bases. He's been pretty good with the glove too.
In the infield, shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt of Seattle has been hot with 25 at bats, 10 hits, eight runs scored, a homer and seven RBIs in his last seven games. Grab him if he's available in your league, especially with the Mariners making a huge push to win the wild card.
One of the hottest pitchers available on many waiver wires is Doug Davis of Arizona, another team making a run for the playoffs. He is 4-0 in his last six starts with a an impressive 2.66 ERA.
