FANTASY FOOTBALL-MORE WEEK 7 PLANNER-RECEIVERS UP

Minnesota Vikings receiver Percy Harvin (shoulder) is expected to start today. With the Pittsburgh Steelers expected to smother Sidney Rice and Bernard Berrian, Harvin could find himself in a lot of one-on-one coverage for some long bombs from Brett Favre.
It's official. The 49ers Web site has officially stated that receiver Michael Crabtree, who is making his NFL debut today, will start. Crabtree should have a big day. What this does is lower the value of receiver Josh Morgan who now takes a back seat to Crabtree.
Another receiver to play today is the Rams' Donnie Avery. He and Marc Bulger have been finding some chemistry lately and the Rams will likely be playing catch up all day against the Indianapolis Colts.

FANTASY FOOTBALL: WEEK 7 PRE-GAME PLANNER-BE WARY OF PORTIS, BARBER AND MARONEY

As we head toward Week 7 games, Clinton Portis, Marion Barber and Laurence Maroney are shaping up as disappointments in the backfield.
First, this week's waiver-wire flavor of the week, New England back Maroney, won't likely produce the surprising numbers of last week - 123 yards and a TD. Yes, Sammy Morris is out this week but Maroney will be sharing carries with BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Kevin Faulk is expected to get most goal-line carries.
Be advised that Dallas Cowboys back Marion Barber, although listed as probable today, won't be a dominating factor with Felix Jones and Tashard Choice sharing the work. In fact, Internet reports, including the Dallas Cowboys' Web site, state that Jones will be the starter today, not Barber. And even if Barber started he would likely only get you something in the range of 70 yards and maybe a TD.
On Monday night, Washington Redskins back Portis is expected to start. But his right ankle isn't 100 percent and there is no telling when backup Ladell Betts will take over. If you have another option, go for it.
