LOCAL FANTASY FOOTBALL RADIO SHOW; FOOTBALL WAIVER-WIRE PICKUPS

The Northeast Fantasy Football Radio Show, the only one-hour fantasy football radio show based in the Northeast, resumes on Thursday on WICC-600 with a new prime-time slot from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Myself and co-host Bill Cloutier of the Register will provide fantasy football owners with the most interactive information possible that a 60-minute time frame will allow. This includes up-to-date reports on injuries and who to get on the waiver wire. There will also be several live guests and the opportunity for you to call in with any fantasy football related question you might have for this week with a shot to get a free fantasy football T-shirt.
One of the newest segments this year is the barf-bag performance of the week. Yours truly will literally blow lunch on the air into Cloutier's lap prior to announcing who stunk up the weekend with their putrid performance.
Among the live guests this week will be the king of fantasy football commissioners Dr. Brian Harwood who organizes and manages hundreds of off-line and on-line leagues. We'll pick his brain on what some of the best strategies and moves might be for the best shot at winning a championship.

THIS WEEK'S WAIVER-WIRE PICKUPS

When it comes to waiver-wire pickups this week, injuries are providing many opportunities to add depth to your team.
One quarterback to look for is Arizona's Kurt Warner with starter Matt Leinart out for the season with a broken collarbone. Having a receiver tandem of Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin is a QB's dream.
Another QB to snatch up is Oakland's Daunte Culpepper with Josh McCown still out with a broken left toe. Culpepper know's he's on a short leash and will do what he can to make the decision to take him out a tough one when McCown is healthy again.
Seattle receivers Bobby Engram and Nate Burleson should contribute for fantasy football owners with starter Deion Branch sidelined at least two more weeks with a foot injury.
Keep an eye on Cleveland back Jamal Lewis and his foot injury. Backup Jason Wright could be a decent week or two replacement if Lewis misses a game or two.
